Anyone Can Decorate

I believe that anyone can learn to decorate and put some personality into their space! I enjoy sharing decorating tips, tricks and ideas. I love to turn trash to treasure. I tend to use vintage chic items that have a time worn shabby look, vintage flea market and salvaged architectural items that add charm and character... Then I mix in a few new items too! This is a cake that I made last year for my hubby’s birthday… He’s been 29 for many a years now… hehe (he’s in denial, but I humor him!).  I made all of the tools from chocolate molds… and then painted them with food paints that I had gotten at my  local cake decorating store.  This was my first attempt at fondant and also at stacking a cake..  It was a little saggy, but everyone loved it… and it taste amazing!  The 29 on the top were sparklers… that pretty much set off all of our smoke alarms… but made for a great memory!
